Introduction

Introduction

Ege University, Ödemiş Faculty of Health Sciences was established in 1996 as İzmir Ödemiş School of Health. It began to serve in 1997-1998 academic year and had its unique department as “Nursing Education” for 14 years. It served until 2012. “Nursing Faculty” was established in the year 2012 and Department of Nursing Education was moved under Nursing Faculty.

Department of Child Development was established under İzmir Ödemiş School of Health, according to the proposal of Ege University Senate and decree of Council of Higher Education dated, 31/07/2015. Department of Child Development starts to its education life as of the beginning of 2019-2020 academic year.

Ege University, Faculty of Health Sciences was established according to the proposal of Ege University Senate and presidential decree of Turkish President dated, 20/05/2021. It is serving as a faculty since that time and aims to extend its academic structure.
